In the 2nd installment of Kenn's 7 podcasts in 7 days run, Kenn discusses a lot of nerdy stuff with Harrisonburg comic Iain Oldman. Many references. Optimal riffing. Much laughing.
I'm trying something fun for the month of October! Starting with this episode, I will be releasing a podcast every day for seven days straight! Make sure you subscribe so you don't miss any. They will be anywhere between 20-90 minutes long, all with different guests, based on various subjects, with a very special first-of-its-kind episode to look forward to within them! I hope you enjoy!
Kenn Edwards (@TheKennEdwards) and guest Josheph Lewis (@ToastedSchizo) get together as a follow up to the "Code Red State" episode from a few weeks ago to discuss their thoughts on Kevin Smith's latest comedy-horror flick, TUSK.

Kenn's entry into the September Alien/Predator podcrawl consists of a fascinating discussion on the works of Damon Lindelof, centered on the 2012 film, Prometheus, with guests Paul & AJ of the Gobbledygeek podcast and Blake & Mary of The Living Reminders podcast!
Kenn is joined by a roundtable who's who of his podcast community for this one! Joseph William Lewis (Nowheresville [youtube.com/toastedschizo], @ToastedSchizo, co-host of Smoke Gets In Your Ears), AJ Wiley (co-host of Gobbledygeek & Smoke Gets In Your Ears [gobbledygeekpodcast.com], @UnpluggedCrazy), Paul Smith (co-host of Gobbledygeek, @Haunt1013), Greg Sahadachany (host of The Debatable Podcast [debatablepod.tumblr.com] & All The Pieces Matter [@Wire_Podcast], @MisterGreggles), and Eric Sipple (host of Making The Scene [OUT TODAY! saalonmuyo.com], @saalon) get together to for a friendly debate to discuss the career of Kevin Smith, complete with an in-depth analysis of his 2011 film, Red State. A follow up to this episode, complete with a review of his new film Tusk, will be out next week!
Kenn invites BFF Tom Wagoner on the show for his first solo appearance, despite having been on enough times to earn the title of occasional co-host. In an attempt to not make every recorded conversation about comedy, the guys start out commenting on the recent news regarding the riots in Ferguson, Missouri (which happens to be Tom's hometown). This leads to a much larger, navel-gazy conversation about a myriad of things: racism, sociology, evolution, philosophy, and validity of conspiracy theories. Then, in an attempt to bring the mood back to happy, they decide to do over an hour on comedy anyway: this time, showcasing three of Tom's sets (a full half hour of live comedy) at our monthly comedy show at The Hot Spot.
Kenn follows up his well-received "Weird Al" Yankovic interview with an interview with himself - his very first public appearance as a personality in the context of another show: WTJU's On The Edge, Charlottesville, VA. Kenn tells stories of his origins, plays a song, and tells some jokes. THEN, hear Kenn's humorous first-hand perspective of doing the show as he talks about it from his point-of-view in his 15-minute comedy set from The Hot Spot in Waynesboro, VA on 7.24.2014.
Kenn Edwards checks off a bucket list goal when he gets to interview his hero "Weird Al" Yankovic on the release day of his latest album, Mandatory Fun!
Join Kenn Edwards as he delves into a behind the scenes look at the podcast Gobbledygeek, and the friendship that has formed between himself and the members involved. Guests include: Paul Smith (@Haunt1013), AJ Wiley (@UnpluggedCrazy), Pam Smith (@track7grrl), Joseph William Lewis (@ToastedSchizo), and Greg Sahadachany (@MisterGreggles).
Kenn finds himself in the middle of yet another podcast trilogy with the Comedy Square Table in the Wagoner Dungeon. Join him as they go over the 2nd monthly Open Mic Comedy at The Hot Spot show (and parts of the 3rd). Joining Kenn are Tom & Rosy Wagoner, Farley & Kristin Smythe, and Brukusaru Hoober, and they all go over their comedy sets together, as well as sets from previous SLGttP guests Mike Brooks, Mary White, and Drew Fridley, and new comics Drew Cook and Paige Campbell!
Celebrate the 50th episode of SLGttP Kenn Edwards (@TheKennEdwards) as he reviews the recent, very successful shows he hosts at The Hot Spot (@HotSpotWboro) with the founding members of the Comedy Square Table (ComedySqTable): Tom (TWagzSr) & Rosy (@Breasticules) Wagoner, Farley Smythe, and Brooks Hoover (@Hooverman89). Do you enjoy laughter? You're in store for it. About half of this is clips from our sets! Enjoy! (And yes, that cameo in the intro is for real!)
Mary White joins Kenn for her first time, and Cyrus Fisher for his third. Things start off with basic disection of the intention of music in relation to From God To Man, the latest EP by fwawn, Cyrus' solo project, and quickly escalate to a much larger discussion of everything from the definition of god to the point of existence. Things get weird! Enjoy it!
I (Kenn Edwards) drove to Maryland to meet with Greg Sahadachny, host of The Debatable Podcast! We talk the business of podcasting, navigating output in a world of naysayers, the current state of pop culture oversaturation, staying healthy and motivated, the pros and cons of living near a metropolis, and dealing with strangers out in the real world! It was lots of fun! Also, I play a clip of my comedy set from the stand up show at The Hot Spot on April 23rd.
Songs featured in this episode:
"Motivation" by Sum 41
"Like a Rat Does Cheese" by Tre Cool (Green Day)

Kenn sits with his pal Brandon Dunnivan to discuss his documentary he currently has in the works (Why Can't I?), and Brandon's journey into hypnotism. Listen to him hypnotize Kenn on the show! Then go like Why Can't I on Facebook.
Kenn is a big dummy when it comes to watching Game of Thrones. This year he watches the season 3 finale "Mhysa" with Game of Thrones scholar Brooks Hoover and - for her very first official appearance on a full episode - Kenn's wife, Thrones-fan-4-lyfe Hilary Edwards, who help him catch up on who's doing what to who and where as we head onward into season 4. Follow @TheKennEdwards, @MissHilz, & @hooverman89.
It's the 2-year anniversary episode! Kenn visits Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank, NJ to record an intro with Walt Flanagan, Ming Chen, and Mike Zapcic from Kenn's favorite podcast Tell 'Em Steve-Dave & AMC's Comic Book Men, then sits down with four previous SLGttP guests to walk down memory lane, play games, and celebrate in general hilarity together. The headlining podcast guests are: Christian Cooke - going out with a bang on his last show before moving out of Virginia, Tom & Rosy Wagoner - reprising their roles as excellent cohosts and cohorts as deemed in last year's anniversary episode, and Darryl Anthony James Jr. in his most candid appearance on the podcast yet. Much fun is had. Then! As a bonus, Kenn brings on a surprise mystery guest for his podcast outro to reveal plans they have for an upcoming project...
Kenn drove to Pittsburgh to talk to writer/friend Eric Sipple about the struggles of artistic pursuit, the writing process, LOST, and his YA novel, Broken Magic!
Though it acts as the closing chapter of a podcast trilogy, this episode works well as a stand-alone, too! Kenn has one of the deepest discussions on the podcast yet, as regulars Christian Cooke and Tom & Rosy Wagoner explore deep down the rabbit hole of existentialism with him. PLUS! Hear Rosy's second ever open-mic set, and the first comedy set Kenn has ever felt totally awesome about!
This is one of the good ones, guys. Strap in.
In the second installment of this podcast trilogy, Kenn, Tom, and Rosy defend themselves/answer to Christian for some things that were said in part one. The conflict is quickly resolved before the show turns back into just four cool people having awesome conversation. Enjoy!

The first episode in another podcast trilogy! Kenn has a spat with a good friend! This episode is divided into halves - in the first half, show regulars Tom & Rosy Wagoner and Joseph William Lewis meet one another for the first time! And Kenn recorded it! Then - Kenn resolves a problem with friend Christian Cooke... or so he thinks! Stick around for more on that in the following two episodes! Follow @TheKennEdwards, @cooke9000, @ToastedSchizo, @Breasticules, & @TWagZsr.
Kenn goes over the best, worst, and most interesting films of 2013 with an array of fun guests from previous episodes! Featuring Joseph Lewis, Darryl James, & Michael Brooks. Follow @TheKennEdwards, @ToastedSchizo, @PagingDrLove, & @monoclemike.
Kenn concludes this three-part SLGttP episode event with another talk about comedy with the Wagoners. They discuss joke-writing as amateurs, dealing with hecklers, how to recover after a bad "learning experience" of a set (which you'll hear), and a lot of other fun conversation. ALSO! Kenn plays you ALL of the music he recorded in 2013! (Spoiler: It's not that much.)
Kenn ends the year with Tom and Rosy discussing a lot about comedy, including Rosy's first open-mic experience! ALSO, KENN HAS A FUN ANNOUNCEMENT!
In part one of this three-part podcast event, Kenn outchats and outsmokes show-pals Tom and Rosy, and details his trip he took for the sake of pursuing comedy, what he learned along the way, and hints at certain things that may or may not be revealed in the follow-up episode!
Kenn visits with GreenDayAuthority.com contributor Matt Chinander in Iowa City, mid-way through his comedy trek across the nation! First Kenn talks a bit about what it was like to be alone on the road for a month, and then he and Matt go deep down the dark and winding Green Day drunk rabbit hole, and come out on the other side with some musical radio play suggestions, and some contributing tracks of their own!
Joseph William Lewis returns to the podcast, and this time he's promoting the pilot for his new web series, Nowheresville! He even wrote Kenn a part in it! They're joined by lead actor of the project, Adam Crawford. Look for Nowheresville on YouTube early December 2013! Check out YouTube.com/ToastedSchizo.
